The fitness level of ‘Team Hampshire Flag’ might need fine tuning but our flags did us proud in London 2012 by taking centre stage in the Great British Garden on the Olympic Park.
Eight feather flags featuring inspirational and informative messages including ‘Get set – Inspiring schools through the London 2012 Games’ helped showcase the Great British Garden – three themed gardens that reflect the colours of the Olympic medals; Bronze, Silver and Gold.
The Great British Garden was the result of a design competition by the Royal Horticultural Society and London 2012, which gave two winners the opportunity to help design a garden for the Olympic Park.
The Feather flags flying in the Great British Garden on the Olympic Park
It’s great to think visitors from all over the world would have seen our feather flags this summer and that we played a small but visible part in this incredible sporting legacy.
Flags arrived this morning, terrific service.
Music making was the order of the day at a recent Southampton festival and to give the beats a boost we produced two PVC banners.
Quobstock banners forming the backdrop of the stage
Quobstock is in its sixth year and the event dubbed ‘the unofficial West End music festival’ takes place, funnily enough, in West End.
Festival favourites and new acts on stage included 80s Revolution, Ian Rich, Taxi for Smith, Scarlett Soul and Vendetta.
The 3m x 2m banners and gave the free event a visual edge and a promotional perk. We might not have been there rocking out, crowd surfing and singing along but it’s great to know that our banners played their part in the Quobstock line up!
We love supporting charities far and wide but sometimes nothing beats helping one that’s closer to home.
So that’s why we’ve just donated a specially produced 3m x 1m banner for Hannah’s Holiday Home Appeal – a Waterlooville based charity (on our doorstep!) which offers free holidays to bereaved families or families with a child fighting a life limiting illness.
Banner for Hannah’s Holiday Home Appeal
The banner made its debut at a corporate golf day on Hayling Island where 17 teams of four battled it out for the first prize of brand new golf bags which we sponsored.
A great day on the green was had by all and over £3,000 was raised for the Appeal which will provide 15 children a holiday at one of the two holiday homes on the South Coast.
We’ve been an ongoing supporter of Hannah’s Holiday Home Appeal and hope that this latest banner encourages people to dig deep into their pockets for this fantastic charity!
